What’s been happening:

I am semi retired, but still active in a few engineering projects. The most notable project of my career was being lead engineer for the relocation of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in 1999. That project went on to win the American Society of Civil Engineers top awards, "Outstanding Civil Engineering Award", and the "Outstanding Project and Leader Award" for 2000. I will always remember the definition of an "engineer" given to us by the Dean of Engineering. " An engineer is someone who can do something for a dollar that any fool can do for two dollars." Not to poetic, but it works.
